Feature idea:
You should be able to have something like a semi-publicly accessible circle, which anyone in any of your other circles can add/remove themselves from (and obviously, see what they are in). These would be accessible to other users through another "tab" in the circles area, where you could edit your memberships.
The idea would be for interests, you could make a circle of this new type, and the people in your other circles could "subscribe" to the interest if they wanted to. So, for example, say you had programming (or politics, or updates about your kids, etc.) as an interest. Currently you could make a circle for people you think would be interested in updates about this, and send related messages to that circle. However, if you could also tag that circle as "accessible" to anyone else in your other circles, people could add/remove themselves from it as they wanted, based on if they were interested in the topic. This way you give more flexibility and control for the people receiving messages, aside from just a blanket allow/block based on what the sender wants to send out (assuming the sender is using the new feature).
I know I have several topics which I only send to certain people based on my guess about who might be interested. It would be cool if other people could change that as well for the circles I marked for such, so people could better get the info/updates they are interested in.
